Hi all has anyone used a compounding pharmacy for their Thyroid meds in the U.K. I have struggled with Levo, T3 only gave me awful insomnia and the only NDT that worked well was W.P Thyroid which i currently cant get.

There are very few compounding pharmacies in the Uk, AFAIK. My HRT comes from one (Specialist Pharmacy in London). You need a private prescription from a doctor associated with the pharmacy. I think it's more common in Australia and the US.

This is an old post, but I'm going to comment on it anyway. Here in my corner of Australia, compounding pharmacies are pretty common. I drive 15 minutes to go to mine, but it's because I like that specific one. There are other compounding pharmacies closer to me that I could use if I wanted to. At the moment both of my meds need compounding, which does make things a bit more expensive!
