Wondering if any one can advise me as to whether parmacy2you are good to use. I use Mercury Pharma thyroxine and having big problems with local pharmacists. What do others have written on their prescriptions to be able to get exactly what they want, I am told different things from different pharmacists, it is quite frustrating.
Thank you very much.

Thank you for your reply. My GP already puts Mercury Pharma on the prescription, but the pharmacy wants Eltroxin on there. Would it be sensible to put Mercury Pharma Eltroxin on prescription and should Advanz be included? I think once the prescription is correctly written I’ll go to an independent pharmacy.
Sorry but cannot recommend Pharmacy2U. I tried them for a while but there's a few things I have specified on my prescription meds, and trying to get through to anyone on the phone or even by email was a total nightmare if there were any issues. Stick to local independent pharmacies wherever possible.
I was told to get the brand written in the first line where the dose and name of meds is written.
Thank you for your email. A shame pharmacy2u isn’t recommended. I’ll try an independent pharmacy once the prescription is correctly written, though I thought it was correct.
I’ve used pharmacy2u for about 5 years and couldn’t speak highly enough of them. They were very helpful when my old surgery was being deliberately difficult and I find their customer services good. It’s also a relief getting my prescriptions delivered as I can’t easily get to a chemist.
That’s good to know, thank you. I’ll ask you the same as I asked Moonglo, do you ask for the difficult one Mercury Pharma, and how is your prescription worded?
I don’t know exactly how the prescription is worded. My doctor simply states on it that I should have a certain brand and pharmacy2u comply. They tried to get Glenmark but not surprisingly this wasn’t possible. I now take Teva without a problem.
Mm I have that on my prescription, Mercury Pharma only but that still doesn't mean i get it, as long as it is not Teva, I go with the flow, what with the difficulty getting to see a GP the years of waiting for treatment for Chronic back pain and now even the dentist is dumping me cos i haven't been for a year I have lost the will to fight. 😔
They do not supply any UK levothyroxine makes. (Indeed, they only supply two makes of levothyroxine product.) Someone trying to remain on their existing product will not find them useful.
