Hi all,
So the last 18 months I have had many small but annoying symptoms, had a few blood tests, I have another tomorrow.
The main thing diagnosed and treated was just a folate deficiency. So I’m on 5mg of folic acid for life.
The reason I joined the group is this.
Looking at my test results from aug 2018 my thyroid results were...
TSH - 0.42 mu/L (0.5-4.4)
Free T4 - 10.2 pmol/L (10.0-20.0)
Free T3 - 4.2 pmol/L (3.5-6.5)
Now I can see my TSH is low and my T4 is almost below range, my T3 is normal.
Yet the doctor said it’s all fine, no mention and not further tests. Is this right?
My sister, mum and nan have thyroid disease (not sure if they’re over active or under active.)
Should I be questioning the low TSH?
Or do I sound like a drama queen.
Main symptoms are tiredness, feeling week doing normal things like putting water in a kettle is a real effort, always so cold, randomly breathless, dark eyes, pins and needles in lower legs.
Any info is helpful, I’m back for another blood test tomorrow only to check folate and b12. Yet wanted to check my thyroid function too really.
Thanks
