Thyroid results
How much Levothyroxine are you currently taking?
Can you add the ranges on these results please
But just testing TSH and FT4 is completely inadequate
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also extremely important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially if Thyroid antibodies are raised
Have you ever had thyroid antibodies tested?
When were vitamins last tested?
All thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. Do not take Levothyroxine dose in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take immediately after blood draw. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, best not mentioned to GP or phlebotomist)
Private tests are available. Thousands on here forced to do this as NHS often refuses to test FT3 or antibodies or vitamins

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
If antibodies are high this is Hashimoto's, (also known by medics here in UK more commonly as autoimmune thyroid disease).
About 90% of all hypothyroidism in Uk is due to Hashimoto's.
Low vitamins are especially common with Hashimoto's. Food intolerances are very common too, especially gluten. So it's important to get TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested at least once .

List of hypothyroid symptoms
Could we also have a list of symptoms, your pulse and temp first thing in the morning and a bit of a history. Depression is a hypothyroid symptom but it is hard to gauge whether you hypothyroidism is affectively treated from the information in your post.I imagine that you are undertreated as this is very very common and most GPs and even endos know far too little about thyroid disease.
Hi Sueanddave, from personal experience I would firstly say if you feel as thought your not in control of any thoughts etc, you need to re visit your GP, A great number of anti-depressants can have negative side effects, especially when you switch from one to another. I’m not a Doctor but I google to see what certain drugs deplete the body of then add them to my diet. As I said before visit your GP and get on the right path, these new ones may not suit you. Hope this Helps JDW 🌻
