Hi

I am on 2.75 grains of naturethroid. I feel okay although sleep can be a little hit and miss through the month. Should I increase a quarter more?

Thanks as always

If you feel OK then I would concentrate on optimising your nutrient levels before increasing NDT. You might find you don't need an increase.

Vit D is recommended to be 125nmol/L.

Ferritin is recommended to be half way through range with a minimum of 70 for thyroid hormone to work properly.

Folate is recommended to be at least half way through range, so 15.5+ with that range.

Are you supplementing B12?

Hello

Thanks for replying. I have slipped on vitamins and will start again. I only took a couple of b12s about 3 weeks ago so I am surprised it's over range. I've not taken them for about 6 months. With folate, is it okay to take this without other b vitamins?

Thanks again,

Best to take a good b complex supplement then add to it if your test show you are low in one of the B’s😊

With NDT I've always found change by a quarter makes a big difference as I'm only on the small dose 1.75 so I would go with SeasideSusie's advice as I also think getting those optimal also keeps things stable as will improve your readings.
