I've just had a 2nd failed frozen embryo transfer (FET) and have Hashimotos and currently on a gluten-free diet, taking 150mg Levothyroxine and selenium. My current NHS endo is unhelpful with advice as to what I can do so would like to get a second opinion.
Any advice or recommendations would be much appreciated.
Thanks

First my sympathies on the second unsuccessful FET and I hope it will be successful next time.
Are your thyroid hormones all optimal, i.e. TSH, T4, T3, Free T4 and Free T3. I believe and am not medically qualified but you have to ensure the Frees are optimal. I know these are rarely tested.
If anyone has a name they will have to send it by Private Message to you as no names are permitted on the open forum of doctors or specialists without their express permission.
This is a link and it may make you weep but at the same time give you the impetus and you will know more than most doctors. The woman who began the following site was because of her miscarriage.
Thanks very much for your advice and links; I'll follow them up . I'm waiting for current blood test results so should know what they are soon, though they have never been optimal but endo and fertility doctors have not really been concerned with the frees ;only obsessed with TSH. Cheers.
Thanks, Slow Dragon for response. My vit and mineral levels were tested 2 months ago and all were average in range but better than they've ever been; I've been very conscientious about taking my supplements.
Re the TSH and dosing , it's very hard to argue with what a consultant says- hence my decision to seek help elsewhere. Thanks
If you put up new post with actual results and ranges members can advise
Vitamin levels must be optimal not average
Are you on strictly gluten free diet? Very often absolutely essential with Hashimoto's
Poor gut function can lead leaky gut (literally holes in gut wall) this can cause food intolerances. Most common by far is gluten. Dairy is second most common.
According to Izabella Wentz the Thyroid Pharmacist approx 5% with Hashimoto's are coeliac, but over 80% find gluten free diet helps, sometimes significantly. Either due to direct gluten intolerance (no test available) or due to leaky gut and gluten causing molecular mimicry (see Amy Myers link)
Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms, help gut heal and slowly lower TPO antibodies
I can’t help with the RE suggestion, but would appreciate a recommendation too!
I also have Hashimoto’s and am going through IVF treatment. Due to having positive anti-bodies I am put on steroids prior to transfer to suppress my immune system. On my last cycle I was also put on blood thinners, low dose aspirin for part of the cycle then inhixa injections from transfer. My last cycle was my first FET and I have had 3 previously unsuccessful fresh rounds. It was the first time that I have had the above included in my treatment protocol and I did get a positive result, although suffered an early miscarriage.
I mention this only as a suggestion to your clinic if they have not already discussed this with you.
This break my heart, have u ever been pregnant prior to your frozen embryos, are they only put in one at a time, is there way that they can release put too in, ❤️
