As you already know you have Hashimoto's you don't need to retest antibodies
However it's helpful to include antibodies in tests once or twice a year. especially as you are now on AIP diet, to see if the diet is helping lower TPO antibodies
All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and don't take Levo in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)
Is this how you did the test?
It would possibly be worth getting TSH, FT3 and FT4 tested privately
But perhaps see if GP will increase dose anyway
Vitamin D, cheapest test for just this is vitamindtest.org.uk £29 postal kit
Yes I did all this prior to test thank you for the tips though it’s onky from sites like this one that we learn these things! I think I might wait a couple more weeks then get private bloods done take back to doctor and try and educate him! Thanks for your help
