You are under medicated, your TSH must be so much lower this, preferably 1 or lower and levels of t4 and free t3 close to top of their ranges......

You also need to raise levels of vitamin D and Folate...

Hi Annie. Well, these tests seem to show that you would greatly benefit from being prescribed levothyroxine - I take it you weren’t prescribed any after your partial thyroidectomy? Your Free T4 is actually underrange which is making it difficult for your body to convert enough into FT3 (the active version of thyroid hormone). Your FT3 should be much higher in its range.

You don’t appear (from this set of results) to have Hashimoto’s or autoimmune thyroiditis or Graves, so that’s good.

That pain in the back of your neck may well be caused by Vitamin D deficiency - you need to start supplementing. Others will probably provide better advice on a dose than me but I’d take at least 5000iu a day for a while to bring that back up. B12 and ferritin seem ok.

Time to persuade your GP to prescribe levo I think!

Hi Jazz

Thanks for your reply

My surgery was 40 years ago, I’ve had no medication since, just started to feel “off kilter” about 2 years ago

I’ve an appointment with GP on Friday ........ fingers crossed he’ll listen !

The (cautiously) good news is that you seem to be converting FT4 to FT3 well. Your FT4 is below range so you definitely need more of that, but your FT3 is nearly 5, which is more than a lot of people on this forum manage even with an FT4 reading towards the top of the range. This means that Levothyroxine might work well for you.
