can't comment on the vit D

people vary a lot in what is right for them B12 wise - your levels look quite good - they are well into the normal range - it is possible to have symptoms of B12 deficiency at this level but that likely to be down to some quite rare genetic conditions. Would suggest monitoring B12 levels over time - they tend to be very steady (though the test results might vary because of the test - think its about 20% for serum B12. You can also use symptoms as a way of montoring levels but the overlap with thyroid is going to make that more complicated.

pernicious-anaemia-society....

Personally I wouldn't recommend that you supplement at the moment.

How much VitD are you taking ? Likewise how much B12 ? With Hashimotos we find that there is poor absorption so keeping levels high is good - money in the bank for those days when things flare up or nothing is working .... :-)

It is often suggested that VitD is good around a 100 + and for B12 around 500 + From reading this forum for almost 7 years it is so sad to see how many people suffer with B12 deficiency symptoms overlapping with thyroid and often report feeling better when B12 levels are higher.

it does state in the Cobalamin and Folate Deficiency Guidelines - that Docs should take notice of Clinical symptoms rather than test results. Sadly they very rarely do !

Thank you very much for your very helpful and informative answer!

Vitamin d I am taking daily 50ug (my level was 89.9 (>75). And vitamin b12 I am not taking at the moment, it was 472(180-700) - but I agree with you about the importance of it, and could increase it a little bit.

I just found out my ferritin level is quite low 25.8(10-150), and I realized I have a lot to improve still in this area. "Money in the bank"(hashimotos). Trying to find the optimal balance and feel that physically and mentally too! :)

A bit challenging so I appreciate the information and tips. Thank you!!
