I’ve had my thyroid checked by Medichecks (showed under active thyroid- autoimmune based on antibodies) and had my blood drawn by Professor Toft yesterday to confirm results of Medichecks. My Medichecks Test was performed around 9:15 and my test yesterday 10:15- I hadn’t eaten for both. Does that matter and will it change results?
I am having my folate, ferritin, b12 & vitamin d checked next week by my GP at 10:40, does this matter? What do I need to look out for? Will I need to start supplementing based on my results?
I’ve also read online about underactive thyroid symptoms can also mean estrogen dominance. My cycles are 35-40 days... anybody have any idea what tests I should ask my GP to carry out in order ascertain this? I’ve had my female hormones checked before (in 2016) but I have no idea what they meant...!
Any help would be great!!

Hello. I have been reading recently a book by Dr Khazakian (i think i spelt it correctly).
In his book he talks about two dominances in Hashimotos which can be tested with a TH1 and TH2 cytokines blood test. I think these would be what you would be looking for. You can read up on it, on his website
I have no idea to be honest. I moved back to Ireland recently so I am grappling with whether it can be done here..i know which lab is being used by my GP and checking online I can see they do the tests. Cytokines should be something tested on the NHS because they are part of immune profile. But they would unlikely be tested as a routine. I would imagine Genova labs (who I used privately in the UK before we moved), would do this test...
