As per my previous post I've never felt right on Levo and had all the normal symptoms. I did try and self medicate with T3 and levo but ended up with palpitations so came off that. My Dr has trialled me on 2 gains of Armour for 100 days and I have found some encouraging signs. First I was able to get my weight down as this has started going up despite me changing nothing that I was eating or doing in the gym. My eyes were not as dry so I went from using drops 4 times a day to 4 times a week. My mood was brighter and I didn't feel as fatigued and negative, much more energy and get up and go. I still have brain fog and a slight sense of de-realisation so it's not perfect and as my Dr said not everything is related to Thyroid issued!!
Here were my results on the Levo at the end of Nov 2017
150mgs of Levothyroxine a day with results as follows.
TSH - 0.4 / Free Thyroxine 19.8 / Free T3 3.1, I know I'm not converting well.
Vitamins are: B12 344 / Folate 12.9 / Ferritin 233
These are my results now on 2 grains of Armour. The Dr is happy for me to continue at this level and I have no adverse symptoms.
TSH - 0.15 mU/L (0.27 - 4.2)
Free T4 - 14.4 pmol/L (12.00 - 22.00)
Free T3 - 9.4 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8)
The T3 looks high perhaps but Dr seems happy to keep and eye on it?
