I have said it says in results to treat me and quoted nice guidelines but he said rbete is nothing wrong with me and my results are normal and fine. Where can i go from here please im desperate.

Your last post with results posted - did not mention - if patient has neurological symptoms - etc etc. Am assuming that was an oversight as that could have affected the replies you had previously. You now have good advice ....

Alimariebell,

Pop over to healthunlocked.com/pasoc for advice about B12 deficiency and how to deal with doctors.

Folate could be a little bit higher. Eat more leafy greens to raise folate or supplement a B Complex vitamin after B12 injections have been initiated if they're required.

Ferritin is low. GP should check iron panel and full blood count to rule out iron deficiency anaemia.

My sister's GP prescribed 2 x 20,000iu per week until her vitD was >75. See another GP for a prescription or buy your own. If you buy your own I suggest 10,000iu daily x 6 weeks then reduce to 5,000iu daily and retest in 3 months. VitD should be taken 4 hours away from Levothyroxine.

If you buy on Amazon please use the affiliate link healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

I agree with SeasideSusie, see another GP.

Strongly encourage asking B12 questions over on PASOC as Clutter suggests.

If you take high doses of vitamin D3 you need to add K2 to ensure the resulting increase in uptake of calcium goes to your bones not organs.

I'd tell him to take a hike!

Clearly your doctor has no idea how vitamin D is made!! Walking will make no difference to its level -sunlight or supplementation are the main ways though you can get a very small amount in food. In your shoes Id see a different GP.

My docotor once told me to stop all my vitamins etc, didn't say why but I ignored her! She hadn't suggested anything after a course of folate was still under the range and took a year of dosing to get it up! The next time supplements came into the conversation she was glad I was taking them!
