Hi looking for support. I have under treated underactive thyroid and I have been making mistakes at work which really knock my confidence. I get stressed when I don't understand something and this can upset me. I just feel like a mental case. Please advise, I take 50mcg Levo and diagnosed 2011.
Thanks

I’m no expert but it would seem that you definitely need more levo! Your antibodies suggest Hashimotos, so it might worth avoiding gluten and dairy to see if that helps too. Dr Izabella Wentz is very good on Hashimotos protocols. No wonder you’re making mistakes and getting stressed if you’re only on 50mcg. Go back to your doctor and jump up and down if you have to - but get him/her to refer you or up your dose. I had to pay to see an endo because I knew 50mcg wasn’t enough for me. It took him 5 mins to realise I was correct. He then saw me on the NHS. You’re not crazy!! Before the GP tested me (a year of asking), he just gave me mental health questionnaires and asked if I wanted antidepressants! 😡
Well, I think many on here self-medicate (I take NDT). I would just say start low and get tested after a few weeks. There are others who will reply with far more knowledge than me! Good luck!
Other symptoms - feeling cold, anxiety, breathlessness, getting easily upset, brain fog, weight gain, heavy periods, puffy eyes, losing hair, loss of appetite.
