Have you had vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested recently?
Very often much too low with Hashimoto's
Presumably you are on strictly gluten free diet?
You really FT3 tested at same time as TSH and FT4.
Hi slowdragon. Yes I am on a strictly gluten free diet and have been for nearly a year now. :-).
My b12 when last tested a few months ago was near the top of range and has previously been over range. 845 - Range - (200-900)
Folate was 17-44 Range - (2.7O - 18.80)
Ferritin was 62. Range - (10-320).
Vitamin D 53.1. Range - (50 - 200)
I do supplement vitamin D. Only. 25ug
I do feel better than I did but my brain fog is terrible and can’t even remember simple words. I hate that part of this disease.......
Suggest you get some vitamin D mouth spray by Better You. Perhaps 3000iu strength once or twice daily. Important to add in cofactors to magnesium and vitamin K2 Mk7

You need to increase vitamin D level to around 100nmol
Retesting twice yearly. Likely to need on going maintenance dose once you reach required level. Trial and error what each person requires

Ferritin could improve with eating liver once a week
Have you considered trying lactose, casein or dairy free?
Perhaps try strictly dairy free, then reintroduce lactose or casein
How do you feel?
Your blood results look fine. I would not go any higher in dose. Be handy if they had done a ft3 to see how well you are converting. T3,is the usable form. T4 (levothyroxine) is the storage form. Often GPs cant get the ft3 done. So if you have ongoing symptoms you may well have to get a private test done. If you look on Thyroid Uk website they have links to the private labs.
Hi. I feel a lot better than I have done. I definitely don’t feel ok though.... my brain fog is awful, but that could plain and simply be my hormones as I’m 46 and definitely going through the change (blood test confirmed). I am never hungry anymore as my stomach is all over the place with feeling constantly sick or having heartburn or cramps. Although it’s been much better since being gluten free. Everything is an in going battle (as we all know).
My tsh has never been so low and I’m only on 50mcg of Levothyroxine. At least it’s working lol
Well how weird there were no comments when I replied!!
Id increase your vitamin D. Its normally in iu values. 50 is too low you meed to get it over the 100 mark. Have a look at the Vitamin D Council and Grassroots websites they have excellant advice on what to do.
Low vitamin D causes brain fog, fatigue, non restorative sleep aches and pains.......xx
