I was diagnosed iron deficient in 2013, folate deficient in 2016, vitamin B12 low in 2016, vitamin D deficient in 2013. My GP prescribed me 800iu but I did not get on with this and vit D level taking ages to rise. Thankyou for any help.

Ferritin 55 (30 - 400)

Folate 3.1 (2.5 - 19.5) - taking 5mg folic acid daily

Vitamin B12 247 (190 - 900)

Vitamin D total 60.2 (50 - 75 suboptimal. Advise on safe sun exposure and diet.) - taking 3000iu D3 oral spray

I am not too good on blood tests but your post will be responded to as soon as those who do know will respond.

What else has your doctor prescribed besides vit D and folic acid?

Your vitamin levels are dire because you are under medicated on Levothyroxine

Your high antibodies confirm you have Hashimoto's and highly likely gluten intolerant

Persistent low vitamins with supplements suggests coeliac disease or gluten intolerance

Insist on coeliac testing from GP

But it's far more likely you have, like majority with Hashimoto's have non-coeliac gluten sensitivity (NCGS)

3000iu is obviously not enough vitamin D

Using Better You vitamin D mouth spray is good as avoids poor gut function. You could use 2 x 3000iu daily or 5000iu daily. Recommended to also take magnesium and vitamin K2 Mk7

Retesting vitamin D in 2-3 months.

You will need on going maintenance dose, trial and error what you need, everyone is different.

Recommend you also supplement B12 sublingual lozenges and a good vitamin B complex too. Choose one with folate in. This will improve low folate too

If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 3-5 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results

Oral B12 may be as good as injections

B12 generally

Ferritin, eating liver once a week should help improve levels

Gluten free diet will also help heal gut.

Dose of Levothyroxine should be increased too

Pebble7,

VitD isn't rising fast enough because you're not taking enough D3. Double your dose to 6,000iu for 6 weeks and then go back to 3,000iu and retet late April.

B12 is low so if you have symptoms in b12deficiency.info/signs-an... go to healthunlocked.com/pasoc as they're the experts on B12 and folate deficiency.

Folate is low in range even though you are taking 5mg folic acid.

Ferritin is optimal halfway through range. You can raise ferritin by supplementing iron with 1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation. Take iron 4 hours away from Levothyroxine.
