Hi I’ve just had another blood test here are the results
Thyroid peroxidase 0.3 (0.00-5.60)
Tsh 1.45 (0.35-5.00)
T4 13.7 (9.00-22.00)
T3 4 (2.90-4.90)
A lot of my symtoms, headaches, eye pressure ear pressure have gone but the last week I’ve been very tired. My sleep pattern is odd, sometimes it takes me ages to get to sleep then I’m in and out of sleep all night. Other times I fall a asleep then wake always between midnight and 1 am. It’s like there’s an adrenaline surge!
I’ve just done 6 weeks on 100 mcg do I need another rise in dose? Plus my pharmacist has given me a different brand called actavis any views on this.
Thank you

There's room for an increase in your meds but whether the doctor will give it to you is another matter altogether unfortunately.
Have you had your cortisol tested? This can really mess with your sleep - which would feel like an adrenal surge exactly and could stop you falling asleep in the first place.
Also could be blood glucose dropping too low which can also be related to cortisol.
Other things that I've worked out keep me waking up in the past have been becoming too hot and cold, hunger/thirst when not eating enough, nutritional deficiencies and blood sugar levels.
Sorry if not very useful - all I can think of right now lol!
Thanks for your reply. My endo is quite good thank god he tends to go on how I feel so I think I’ll get an increase. I had cortisol rested back in August and everything was fine.
Ah okay, yes that would have been the blood test. Cortisol is cyclical though out the day and blood tests done at one point of the day can sometimes not be useful.
I had very similar problem and did the cortisol saliva test from medichecks which tests 4 times across the day including just before you go to bed - turned out mine was starting to increase in the evenings when it was supposed to be dropping and reaching it's highest and going completely over range by midnight - the complete opposit of what it's supposed to do! Obviously stopping me from sleeping. This test is quite cheap - I think it was £30 when on offer on thursdays sometimes.
It's worth checking your blood sugar levels at this time too to see if dropped too far with a cheap test it from the pharmacy - you can get a three day trial test kit like diabetics use to monitor themselves.
There are simple things you can do to resolve both these issues but just got to figure out if an issue first?
Try looking at the other suggestions to as sometimes just a simple thing, might just need a drink of water if you don't drink enough ect?
The solutions for both, although many simple, are so variable depending on the test results and your personal situation/lifestyle and would prob only be worth looking into once you know it's actually a problem but I'd be happy to help if you get them done and one seems at fault
But do try the free ones first lol - are you eating enough, drinking enough water, possible deficiencies - is the bedroom temp at a good constant for you - water or lack thereof is the one of these that keeps me up most
