Hi everyone,
I finally had my GP appointment follow up today since having my Thyroid/Lymph node scan and recent blood results.
Thank you to @SlowDragon for your links as I went armed with information regarding Vitamins Folate, B12, Ferritin and D3 for better Thyroid Function. My GP new she couldn't turn me away so sent me straight for bloods, she also advised the TSH of 3.34 due to the significant amount of Thyroid damage to both lobes would still be too high and needs to be between 0.2 and 1 to feel anywhere near normal. She has upped my Levothyroxine to 75mg for 6 weeks then re-test.
Hopefully somebody can shed some light on my scan results..... she read the report to me, it said I have significant swelling/damage of the thyroid gland on both right/left lobes due to Hashimotos. It said I have a multinodular goiter but with a larger nodule on the right side lobe of the Thyroid (1.7cm) - this is the side which my lymph node under the right of my jaw is swollen very hard, not painful to touch but the pressure feeling it gives inside causes a radiating pain up to behind my ear (previously thought to be a possible salivary gland stone but proven otherwise on the scan). The scan shown that all my neck/jaw lymph nodes are swollen - this has been the case for roughly around 18 months but the GP just says my body is constantly probably trying to fight of infection (even though I don't have an infection as proven by the GP themselves with tests). Anyway they have said all my swollen nodes including the larger swollen one on the right is nothing to worry about as they can sometimes remain large nor is my 1.7cm nodule on the right lobe.
She upped my medication based on the fact I still struggle to swallow foods, I always feel like somebody is pressing on my wind pipe, my eyebrow hair has fallen out, my hair is also falling out. My constant headache and heart palpitations. She advised I may feel better on 75mg Levothyroxine.
Should I be concerned about the lymph nodes/nodule?
Thanks again!
