I posted previously about waiting for Thyroid U/S. I wondered if any of you have experienced anything similar to this.
Since December 2016, I’ve had a lump under my jaw which is painless, the doctor checked it and said as it’s small and painless it won’t be anything to worry about. I still have the lump, and the left side is starting to have the same lump.
Had my thyroid scan this morning, shown a multi nodular goitre. She also checked my neck lymph nodes and said all are swollen, and advised it’s probably due to infection somewhere, but I asked her about the lump under my jaw she said lymph node.. I asked can it be permanently swollen and she said sometimes they swell and forget to come back down.
My question is, she said there’s nothing to worry about which is fine but... could it be my Hashimoto’s which is making my lymph nodes permanently swollen or is this unlikely?
Also does the hoarseness go away or is that something that stays even though I’m on Levothyroxine?
Thanks 😊

Mine did that when first started on low dose Levo, resolved when dose was slowly increased to high enough
Lump about the size of small broad bean under chin, about half way to ears, either side of throat. Right side usually was more swollen than left for me
It comes back occasionally if I have been too busy, when Thyroid feels right.
Yes deep slightly hoarse voice is typical of hypo too, it should slowly fade
Have you noticed if your are a bit deaf? That's typical too
That’s exactly the size and positioning of the lump under my chin! Mine is the right side more than the left, although I can still feel the left slightly.
Yes voice seems a bit deeper but the hoarseness and feeling like something is pressing on my trachea isn’t reducing just yet.
Funnily enough yes I have noticed that! Just thought it was another issue to add to the list of things going wrong with me recently.
