I would be really grateful for some advice please. I suffer from hashimotos disease and I feel as though i’m Having a bad attack on my immune system. It’s happened before after fighting off a virus/bug off but after taking medication and starting to feel better it feels as though my immune system is now going overactive and it feels as though my nerves are in pain all over my body with itchy skin and shivery. I’ve taken strong antihistamine to try and calm my immune system down but am still struggling at the moment and Hardly slept last night. On the whole I feel well and in balance. I’m on thyroxine and the dr has suppressed my tsh below 1 as I feel better otherwise I suffer badly with under active symptoms. When I last had a thyroid function test when I felt well the readings were:-
T4 -16.2
Tsh - 0.1
T3 - 5
Has anyone else suffered like this?

I am not medically qualified but if someone has hashimoto's it is the antibodies which attack your gland until you are completely hypo. I have read that at times the antibodies are 'dumped' into your body thus giving you hyper symptoms.
Those who have hashi's will respond too. Going gluten-free can help reduce the antibodies.
p.s. when giving results of tests it is helpful if ranges can also be quoted as machines differ and can have different ranges.
Hashimoto's very often affects the gut, leading to low stomach acid, low vitamin levels and leaky gut. About 5% are coeliac, but over 80% of us find gluten free diet helps significantly. Either due to direct gluten intolerance (no test available) or due to leaky gut and gluten causing molecular mimicry (see Amy Myers link)
But don't be surprised that GP or endo never mention gut, gluten or low vitamins. Hashimoto's is very poorly understood
Changing to a strictly gluten free diet may help reduce symptoms.
Low vitamins are very common with Hashimoto's, the ones that affect thyroid are vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12. When they are too low they stop Thyroid hormones working.
Many thanks for your replies. I'm dairy free as I do feel ill - sick/upset tummy, stomach cramps if I accidently eat diary since starting taking thyroxine - 10 years ago. I was trying not to go gluten free, as my young daughter tends to copy what I'm eating though I try and limit wheat because I notice it makes my fluid retention worst. Here are my results:
