Tulips51 What thyroid meds are you on? Your TSH is suppressed, your FT4 quite low in range and FT3 half way through it's range. With such a low TSH one might expect to see your free Ts higher.

B12 is low. Do you lhave any signs of B12 deficiency b12deficiency.info/signs-an...

Do you have a folate result, it goes hand in hand with B12 so should have been tested.

Also ferritin? Vit D?

Tulips51 - well your folate is OK, it should be at least half way through it's range. But your B12 is a problem. Did you check for signs of deficiency? If you have any then post on the Pernicious Anaemia Society forum for further advice healthunlocked.com/pasoc

I have read (but not researched so don't have links) that BCSH, UKNEQAS and NICE guidelines recommend:

"In the presence of discordance between test results and strong clinical features of deficiency, treatment should not be delayed to avoid neurological impairment."

And an extract from the book, "Could it be B12?" by Sally M. Pacholok:

"We believe that the 'normal' serum B12 threshold needs to be raised from 200 pg/ml to at least 450 pg/ml because deficiencies begin to appear in the cerebrospinal fluid below 550".

"For brain and nervous system health and prevention of disease in older adults, serum B12 levels should be maintained near or above 1000 pg/ml."

Tulips51 - the recommended level is 100-150nmol/L according to the Vit D Council. You might want to supplement to bring yours up to that level, particularl now we're nearing winter and it's not possible for us to get enough sunshine to make Vit D ourselves.

You might find that 2000iu D3 daily is enough and you can buy softgels (Drs Best are good and very reasonably priced) and you'll need D3's important cofactors too

vitamindcouncil.org/about-v...

D3 aids absorption of calcium from food and K2-MK7 directs the calcium to bones and teeth where it is needed and away from arteries and soft tissues where it can be deposited and cause problems.

D3 and K2 are fat soluble so should be taken with the fattiest meal of the day, D3 four hours away from thyroid meds.

Magnesium comes in different forms, check to see which would suit you best and as it's calming it's best taken in the evening, four hours away from thyroid meds

naturalnews.com/046401_magn...

Check out the other cofactors too.

You can buy D3/K2-MK7 combo supplements rather than individual ones.

Do you have a diagnosis of hypo? What are you taking? Because that completely changes the reading of the results. :)

Hi yes I'm 85 Levo and 20t3

OK, so that explains the suppressed TSH. The FT4 is irrelevant. And your FT3 is only just mid-range. Plenty of room for an increase if you feel you need it. :)

Yes on y form of T3 your TSH should be suppressed , FT4 an fall to halfway down the r fe and FT3 should. E high in range. At the moment as GG says your FT3 could be higher and the fact that FT4 is low suggested that your body is still needing to. I veer some of your T4 into T3. When T3 is high in range then it has less call on T4 so that could rise a little.
