Hello, I discovered I had low thyroid last Dec after months of feeling dreadful, totally depleted of energy & fatigue like I've never known. Went back for my 3 month blood test & GP put me up to 75mg of Levothyroxine. Still feeling weak & wobbly & wondered if you would be kind enough to look at my levels please.
TSH 5.93
FreeT4 13.5
Bit B12 330
Folate 7.8
Ferritin 134.2
Thank You
Marie

Don't worry - it is a clinical symptom one of the many.
When you give results members also need the ranges as labs differ and so do ranges, just to complicate things.
First your doctor was wrong to leave 3 months between your initial diagnosis and the next test. Normally it is a test every six weeks until we are feeling much better and dose remains at n optimal level.
Request a blood test every six to eight weeks. It has to be at the earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between your last dose of levo and the test and take afterwards. This helps TSH to remain at its highest as that appears to be the only result doctors take notice of.
The aim is a TSH of 1 or lower. Your doctor hasn't test Vit D or iron.
The aim is to relieve all clinical symptoms.
Always get a print-out with the ranges or your own records and you can post if you have a query.
Hi MS58 is the bloodtest results from before increase in meds or after? Also have you got the ranges, that's the figures in brackets after result without these it's hard to advise as these can be different, from lab to lab. Also how long have you been on new dose, as it takes six weeks to feel full benefit from meds increase.
