No idea. There is another current thread on this:
In the past, I have seen the amount of each gland, but that link doesn't even state that. Never have I seen the amount of thyroid hormone.
If you need more thyroid hormone, you will also be taking more of every other ingredient.
Not the same site, but the same product :

Click on 'Facts'.
We end up scratching out heads even more - iHerb claims American Ginseng, the other one doesn't mention that! And maltodextrin.
Not only do we not know how much thyroid hormone, we don't even know for sure what the other ingredients are!
The NZ one says it contains something called 'Flogard'. What is flogard???
I *think* flogard is used to help the substances flow during manufacture and as a bulking agent (filler).
ppgsilica.com/Products/Flo-...
(Even made by a company I used to work for!)
Flogard is an antibiotic called Ofloxacin marketed by Acekinetics according to medicatione.com/?c=drug&s=f... and a few clones.
Seems to be used on the pigs.
Oh, interesting. So, there are two things with almost the same name. Confusing!
Thank you for that.
I sincerely doubt that Raw Thyroid has an antibiotic as an ingredient.
Why? Antibiotics are widely and routinely used on pigs farms to encourage growth and prevent bacterial infections. You've probably heard of the "superbug" problem. Traces of antibiotics can also be found in pig meat and byproducts.
If I can get to a fax, I'll contact the company, which is also a bit weirdly hard to reach. Or did someone else already do that?
This product is not intended to treat hypothyroidism. It is intended to be a 'dietary supplement'. If you are hypo, you need a known amount of thyroid hormone replacement, as in something like Armour, or Thyroid S.
I read recently on a doctor thyroid advice site (the name of which I cannot recall) that this product contains 60mcg T4 and 7.5mcg T3 per capsule. No idea whether or not this information is correct!
