The company don't seem to declare the hormone content on the website so there is no way of knowing what the potency will be

there is kelp in the capsules and this could be the main active ingredient

But if you are lacking thyroid hormones you can only replace them with thyroid hormones.

The main ingredients are thyroid and adrenal tissue. Kelp is listed under other ingredients so guess it is a minor one . I have been taking this for years, as I spent a year on levo which did nothing at all for me, I think it made my condition worse. IRaw thyroid has not cured me but it makes me less tired and cold. The best thing about it, I totally stopped vibrating, tinnitus happens less often and the horrible night terrors and palpatations have totally gone. I also had my first normal thyroid reading when I started taking raw thyroid but NHS gps have refused to test me since because they refuse to believe that levo is useless and just think I am being a pain. It is worth trying, I just take 1 a day as instructed.

The main ingredient listed on several sites is this mixture:

Synergistic Complex (Thyroid Tissue, Adrenal Tissue, Pituitary Tissue, Thymus Tissue, Spleen Tissue, Maltodextrin (from Tapioca), American Ginseng.)

390 mg

I don't think that the convention of listing by quantity applies to supplements. (It might often do so, but I don't think it is a requirement. So we cannot rely on it.)

So, even if kelp is listed under "other ingredients", there could could be many milligrams of kelp - hence a very significant amount of iodine.

We simply do not know. Unless there are other information sources.

I know but when you are desperate and Drs are not helping, anything is worth trying. I had no other choice.

As you are already taking it, you know how it affects you.

But I wanted to make it clear that we are ignorant about actual iodine content for anyone else who reads this thread. :-)

Hi Lizzo30. From personal experiences with similar products from Thailand, my blood tests were erratic. Sometimes normal, most of the other times abnormal. I was also going through the menopause (still am) and on my HRT journey so not sure if the two were fighting each other. I therefore returned to Levothyroxine at 75mcg but added T3. That combo seems to work so far as my bloods are normal again and currently I am battling controlling my menopause. Best wishes friend.
