Wondering if I need to take T3...

Since my last post I have managed to get my ferritin levels up to 70.6, taken a course of selenium and zinc nd my folate levels have improved.

My latest blood results a week ago from Blue Horizon:

TSH 0.99 o.27-4.20

T4 Total 109.0 64.5-142.0

Free T4 18.90 12-22

Free T3 3.62 3.1-6.8

Anti thyroidperoxidase abs 87.6 <34

Anti thyroglobulin abs 29 <115

B12 >1476 ( I have B12 injections)

Folate 35.66 8.83-60.8

I feel fairly well but have a terrible memory, get facial and oral numbness most days and have heavy aching legs and no eyebrows.

I am wondering if I should take T3 and would be grateful for any comments/advice.

pugdogs10 Your FT3 is very low in range compared to your FT4 and your FT4: FT3 ratio isn't good at 5.2 : 1 - good conversion takes place when the ratio is 4:1 or less. I think adding 6.25mcg T3 to your current dose of Levo might be a good idea and then see how you feel. See how much your FT3 increases and it's possible you might need a bit more T3.

SeasideSusie Yes I have decided to do that, I know I have dithered around a lot but to be honest it is a bit scary doing these things without the support of your GP. But needs must.

Many thanks for your comments to this post and my last one...can you advise on obtaining T3 please?

Do you have oral and facial numbness 24/7/365? Is it bilateral or on one side?

SeasideSusie's suggestion is a good one. If you can obtain T3. Worth trying to see if it helps.
