DHEA and cortisol - is it normal

DHEA and cortisol - is it normal

I wondered if anyone understands this?

I'm trying to improve my underactive thyroid symptoms. I'm better on T4 and t3 but I still don't have the energy I used to have so I did a saliva adrenal test. My cortisol is high in range, but my DHEA is low in range. Does anyone know if this is something I should try to improve?

I know my t3 was low but i'll have another blood test this week following 6 weeks on t3. I just want to do everything I can to feel like I used to!

I'd appreciate any advice☺.

  • Can you tell me where you went for the test? I am trying to organise this test at present and am getting nowhere. I'm reading Avviva Romm who has lots of suggestions re improving adrenal function. Hopefully you will get answers.

  • I used blue horizons adrenal test

  • Thanks for that

  • Don't see anything wrong with those results.

  • Thanks. I don't sleep well so wondered if cortisol was to blame but then DHEA seemed low. It seems that's quite normal though.
