Free T4 17.93 12-22

Vit d (25 oh) 100 deficient 25
Insufficient 25-50
Consider reducing
Vit B12 380 consider reducing
Serum folate 21.72 10.4 42.4
I know I need to reduce something but I don't know what thyroxin or T3 preferably thyroxin these results might as well be in falcon (not sure how you spell that) thanks guys 🐶
Hidden You need to get your FT3 down to within range. It is your T3 you need to reduce. Presumably this is the 25mcg T3 (self sourced?). You should leave your Levo as it is and try a reduction in T3 of 6.25mcg to start with and just take 1 and 1/4 tablet sp 31.25mcg . Maybe re-test after 6-8 weeks, if FT3 is still high I'd reduce to 25mcg and see how it is after another few weeks.
Your Vit D is fine, recommended is 100-150. Have you been supplementing, if so then go on to a maintenance dose of 2000iu daily and remember the co-factors that are needed ie K2-MK7 and magnesium. Take Vit D and magnesium 4 hours away from thyroid meds.
B12 is too low at 380, optimal is 1000 according to the Pernicious Anaemia Society. Solgar or Jarrows sublingual methylcobalamin lozenges 5000mcg daily for about 3 months then reduce to 1000mcg daily.
When taking B12 we need a B Complex. Thorne Basic B or Jarrows B Right both contain 400mcg methylfolate which will help increase your folate which needs to be at least half way through range which is 26.4+. Take B vits in the morning, no later than lunchtime, as they can be stimulating so not recommended to take them in the evening.
Your ferritin is high, are you supplementing? Ferritin should be half way through range.
Thankyou very much Seaside susie I'm going to do everything you have suggested, wishing I hadn't bought bulk supply of iron right now oh well live and learn, I've been taking 400 mg of magnesium could I take more or is that enough (I was hoping it would help with migraines as well as my thyroid ) 🐶
400mg magnesium is about right. You might want to check out the different forms of magnesium in case there's one that you might feel is better for you naturalnews.com/046401_magn...
Hopefully you bought a cheap form of iron supplement and got on well with that rather than something like Solgar Gentle Iron which is much more expensive than ferrous fumarate or ferrous sulphate.
Thankyou for that Seaside susie, the iron was only H&B, I will go for magnesium malate next time mine is the solgar citrate ( I wondered what was making me go the loo more)😀🐶
It was 24 hours after levo and 12 hours after T3, I did want to try T3 only but it's all a bit scary, Thankyou for your post 🐶
Thankyou sandy12,
The last 4 days I've felt a bit odd headache slightly dizzy nauseous so I Googled to much iron and they seam to be the symptoms , so I feel I was doing alright on my doses but the docs will probably say to reduce🐶
