I haven't taken Thyro gold but know it was developed by Dr John Lowe who was also an Adviser to Thryoiduk.org.uk.org before his untimely death. It is deliberately non-prescriptive to make it easy for us to order. His widow now takes orders and any questions you may have, there are also testimonials.

"THYROGOLD, called a “supplement” , was created by the now-deceased John C. Lowe, and his wife currently sells it. Comes in 150 mg and 300 mg tablets. The mgs is NOT equivalent to the same mgs in prescription NDT tablets. i.e. 150 mg may be “similar in effect” to 1 1/4 grains, but that’s a subjective opinion by some. The thyroid powder in the tablets are from New Zealand pasture-fed cows, plus there is 25 mg of Coleus forskohlii, which is said to promote thyroid function. It is a popular OTC product!

I have tried it and at first was optimistic then I started losing weight (think it was the forskolin in the product that was the culprit) Unusually for hypothyroid I am on the thin side and can't afford to lose weight. I find it more difficult to maintain or gain weight!

Think it's actually the forskolin that causes the weight loss!!!!

Another product (much beloved of TUK members - VITAMIN B12 - ) which I tried because it had such rave reviews caused me to lose 9lbs weight in 5 days....maybe another "Secret" and no I am not a seller of either. I find it difficult to convince folk that it's easier to lose weight than put it on!!!!!
