Hi everyone

Just thought I would share my experience if thyro gold capsules. To cut a long story short I had a TT in April 2017 where they discovered minute amounts of cancer in both lobes. No follow up treatment deemed necessary. I was put on 125 mcg Levothyroxine and felt better than I had in years and also lost 7 lbs ( bonus). Came in an extended stay to the US to visit my daughter and grandchildren and ran short of tablets. Went to a local doctor who wrote a prescription which was then fulfilled with a cheap “generic” (only one available)

Suffice it to say that within days I felt awful and began piling on weight despite not eating any differently. 6 months down the line and 14lbs heavier something needed to change. I came across an advert for thyro gold and thought it worth a try. Their website recommends the 300 mcg capsules if you are already on thyroxine or have no thyroid so I thought nothing ventured nothing gains Ed and ordered a bottle. They arrived very quickly so last Friday I took my first capsule following the same protocol I did with Levothyroxine. I can’t believe the difference in how I feel . I stopped the Levi stone dead and took one 300 capsule. Following day I had energy,y couldn’t be botheredness was in decline and best of all the scales finally showed downwards movement. I know it’s only water at the moment but one wetlands on I have lost 7 lbs of puffy bloat eating the same heathy diet and amount of exercise.

Sorry this is a long post but thought it might give other people pause for thought. I hope it’s not a false start as I currently feel better than I did in my forties and pushing 70 in a few months.

That's wonderful news, let's hope your recovery continues - do you have to increase your dose as you go like when on NDT?

If you read the link below, you may find it helpful re dosing.

Thank you Shaws - I have read the web page but I wondered that, if the 300 wasn't enough after a while, you only have the option of adding another 150 capsule. I'm guessing this is a rather expensive way to treat yourself?

I don't see any problem of splitting your 300 but please contact Tammy - Dr Lowe's wife who will be happy to help. The following is also from the site:-

I'm glad you found Thyro Gold suits you. It was invented by Dr John Lowe, who was also an Adviser to Thyroiduk.org.uk before his accidental death which meant we lost a very good doctor who resigned his Licene so that he could treat patients to wellness instead of being pursued like a few of UK doctors were for doing as they were taught as medical students.

The following is also by Dr Lowe and may be helpful in future. Read 'Safely Getting well with Thyroid Hormones'.

You will also see testimonials too of people who're happy with Thyro Gold and his wife, Tammy, now runs this part of the business.

Thank you for your response and helpful link. It was by searching Dr Lowe’s name that I found Thyro Gold as I remembered reading about him on this site.

Yes, I have had good recommendations from knowledgeable people of thyrogold, I have made it my back up plan if I am ever denied Armour NDT and can't find another doc who will prescribe A-NDT. I think it is from New Zealand Sheep, but I could be remembering that wrong.

Hi, I just wondered if this has continued to work for you, and have you needed to change your dose? Thanks

Yes it has continued to work for me and I am still taking the same dose. I am taking this based around how I feel rather than by any blood test results though.

Thanks, good to know. And I’m happy for you! I’m ok on mix of t3 and t4 right now but it took me forever and it’s good to have options.
