Ferritin 202.6 Range 20 - 150 ( I do not supplement )
Vitamin B12 732 Range 142 - 725 ( I supplement )
I take 3.5 grains of NT and had been feeling quite well up until two weeks ago when I started to go down hill, symptoms returned!!! just going through a bad phase .....would this account for the high Ferritin?
(I am now starting to return to better health again thankfully).
My FT3 is a tad over but if I were to reduce my dose my symptoms would return.
I had not taken and NT for 19 hours prior to the blood test.
Any thoughts please?

Your NDT is higher than most people but if you feel good and not hyper due to the over range FT3, it may be optimal for you. Have you been on 3.5 grains for more than six months? It takes a while for the body to assimilate the raise in dose.
13. GOING UP WITH DOSAGES WAY TOO FAST. This was observed a few years ago: a doctor put his patient on desiccated thyroid. One grain, then 2 grains, 3 grains, 4 grains, 5 grains, then 6 grains. But the problem was that he did this within 4-5 weeks! OUCH. He started to find himself majorly overdosed with symptoms to match (high heart rate, sweating). He had to stop for a few weeks… then resume again at one grain and do it the right way–approx. 1/2 grain raise every two weeks, slowing down in the 2-3 grain area (and for some, slowing down on even lower amounts).
FAILING TO MULTI-DOSE Occasionally, some patients take their natural thyroid all at once in the morning and say they do fine. But, most individuals report better results by dosing at least twice a day. For example, a person on 3 1/2 grains might take 2 grains in the morning, and 1 1/2 grains by early or mid-afternoon. Multi-dosing better imitates what your own thyroid would be doing, and gives you the direct T3 throughout the day when you most need it.
SWALLOWING NATURAL THYROID WITH ESTROGEN, CALCIUM or IRON. Estrogen, calcium and iron bind some of the thyroid hormones and makes them unusable, we’ve learned the hard way! So, it’s wise to avoid swallowing these at the same time you swallow your natural thyroid.
Hi Heloise, yes I have been on 3.5 grains for about nine months, I don't feel hyper. I could try reducing it a little to see what happens..... I think I will try that.
If you have been doing well on 3.5 grains for several months, I don't think you need to reduce. You are not that much over and feeling good. I'd hate for that to change. If you do think you are becoming hyper, you could divide the dose and then if still feeling hyper, reduce your afternoon or evening dose by a little.
