Did you actually have your B12 level measured?
Hi the doctor didn't give me print out but he did say it was normal the worrying part is i feel I'm going round in circles but I did notice this result stood out
Anti-thyroid peroxidase antibody 130.3 (0.0-34.0) I don't know what this is
Ok. The very first thing to do is to get into the habit of always asking for a print out of all results, with ranges. You're entitled and they can't refuse. It's amazing how their idea of "normal" changes once they know you will see the results.
I'm assuming from your username that you take T3?? Have you had your iron, folate, ferritin and Vit D levels measure as well?
As you have antibodies, it's possible you have Hashimotos. I don't have antibodies, so hopefully someone more knowledgeable will help you there.
Is there no information on the red blood cells themselves?
What do you mean
Mary, this stuff:
(from wiki)
LOINC codes for this test(Note: not all the codes in the search result are suitable for this test.)
Hematocrit[edit]
Hematocrit or packed cell volume (PCV) – This is the fraction of whole blood volume that consists of red blood cells.[5]
Red blood cell indices[6]
MCV[edit]
Mean corpuscular volume (MCV) – the average volume of the red cells, measured in femtolitres.[5] Anemia is classified as microcytic or macrocytic if the MCV value is above or below the expected normal range; anemias are classified as normocytic if the MCV is within the expected range. Other conditions that can affect MCV include thalassemia, reticulocytosis, alcoholism, chemotherapy, Vitamin B12 deficiency, and/or Folic acid deficiency.
MCH[edit]
Mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) – the average amount of hemoglobin per red blood cell, in picograms.[5]
MCHC[edit]
Mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) – the average concentration of hemoglobin in the cells.
RDW[edit]
Red blood cell distribution width (RDW) – the variation in cellular volume of the RBC population.
Your TPO antibodies are high. This indicates Hashimoto's disease. An auto-immune disease of the thyroid. You need to address this with your doctor and get started on treatment. I have Hashi's so happy to help with any questions you might have.
Thank you for advise I have got appointment with gp on Monday what is the treatment for hashimoto disease
The treatment is usually the same. Over 90% of thyroid conditions are auto-immune. It's mostly something we have to learn about ourselves I'm afraid and many people find that healing the gut is the beginning of quite a long journey. You need to know what your actual B12 result was and all the others.
Ensure you pick up your test results when you visit the GP and make a list of notes from the B12 website before talking to your GP. Information enables you to ask the right questions and ensures your Doc is up to speed....
I'm on nature throid which is natural dedicated thyroid. It's helped me so much. Hard to get though, on NHS, unfortunately. I suspect you will be offered levothyroxine which is synthetic t4. It does work well for some people, just not all.
What was your actual B12 result - the UK range is something like 180-800/900 - as you know labs vary. If your result was 185 he would say normal as it is in range. In Japan the range starts at 500 and neurological symptoms can start at anything under 350. Sally Pachlok says that to prevent cognitive decline in the elderly B12 should be around 1000.

The above link will tell you everything about B12 and more....
Hashimotos people often have mal-absorption issues so it is SO important you have treatment....
I too have Hashi's so am happy to help with reading material etc....
