THIS FORUM MAY DISAPPEAR . . .

Just think how ALONE that will make us all feel.

Excuse my shouting but I hope you will forgive me after you realise what Im

trying to say. Many of you may not be aware that this forum/community

wouldn't be here but for "Thyroid UK", they set up this forum/platform on

the Health Unlocked site to help us.

Thyroid UK is a charity dependent on our funding through our donations

and subscriptions. Subscriptions ? Yes if you subscribe to Thyroid UK not

only do you get to see all the posts and questions on this site you also get

their quarterly magazine and discounts on vitamins and minerals, and much

much more.

Lyn Mynott and the team all work tirelessly behind the scenes raising the

plight of all us undiagnosed under-treated and miss-treated thyrodian

sufferers, but would manage to do this much quicker with YOUR HELP.

There are 14045 members of this forum to date and if each of you

subscribe say the £20 that would be £1,404,500 just imagine what they

could do for us with that, (they may even set up there own thyroid research

labs ;-) ) Even if you can't stretch to that any donation would be a massive

benefit.

Please visit their site by clicking on the "Thyroid UK" logo top right of this

page underneath the search bar. Unfortunately this doesn't take you straight

there, so you will have to click again on their web site address. Once you

there you will see the options to donate or to join on the left hand side. . . .

That old cliche "together we can make a difference" springs to mind.

While your there have a look around, they also have many research

papers on many different thyroid related things that can be a very useful to

print off to show your doctor.

So if you have been inspired, guilt ridden or just plain bored by this, Please

DON'T PROCRASTINATE let you fingers do the walking and press that

PayPal button :-)

You can click this link to go directly to the main Thyroid UK website. On the home page, you will see a box about membership thyroiduk.org.uk

PS;

Louise, I joined about a year ago, but my foggy brain doesn't remember

exactly when, do I get a reminder or can you remind me please so I can put

it in my diary. (if i can find it) What would I do without you ! and all of the team xxx

14045 members subscribing £20 would raise £280900 (bit of brain fog?), less expenses such as producing and posting the quarterly magazine. I would encourage everyone to join, it's well worth it and you're doing something to help.

Yes definitely brain fog, plus figures were never my strong point. Bang goes the research labs then :-/

Do we get reminders to renew each year? I can't remember when I paid my last subscription.

Louise will be able to answer this more accurately, but I think the number of magazines you've received would provide a clue. If you've had three mags, then the next will be your last and you'll probably get a reminder in with it. But if you've had four mags, then your renewal is probably overdue :)

Thanks for this red apple :-)

If you are due, you would have had a renewal in Issue 4 (meds on the front) and then a reminder either by email or post recently...

Drop me an email and I can check... louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org

Hi I bought the pack, does that include magasine subscription or is that extra - I don't mind paying if so :-)

RedApple profile image
RedAppleAdministrator in reply toGlenys

Hi Glenys, if you mean that you ordered the Thyroid UK information pack, then no, that does not include Harmony magazines. The magazines come as part of the yearly membership subscription. Details here thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/member...

I guess that's why the poll was asking if we would use direct debit, then we couldn't forget. ;-)

Hi tia,

If your on the Thyroid UKs main page, under the button on the left; JOIN US should take you to; THYROID UKs MEMBERSHIP PAGE

From here under the logo for Paypal (sorry I thought this was a button) it has a link; "Membership Form here" which you can click and it will take you to the form with the Paypal option.

thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/member...

I hope this gets you there. I know this is very long way around to get there (perhaps THUK can get this changed) thank you for persevering :-) XX
