The difference in being a member of Thyroid UK rather than just a forum member

It is great that the forum is so well supported, but behind the sceens it is Thyroid UK trying to improve our lot, lobbying, influencing and generally making their presence known. This costs money.....

It is never easy to part hard earned cash, especially in these hard hit times. This is not aimed at those already struggling, but if you can forgoe an indian takeaway or some such thing to pay a years membership I would urge you to do so.

I myself am not cash rich and forgoe to subscribe beacuse I know how important this charity is and how much I owe to it's exisitence..... essentially mine.

The number of people actually in the membership shows how invested we are and provides some quality measure of how important this charity is. 🤗😍🤗😍

I joined last year after quickly realising they supported this forum . It has become my lifeline!

Worth every penny🦋💜😘

I fully intend to become a member when I’m a bit more stable thyroid wise and back at work properly & earning.

Without this forum I would have been doomed. I often think back to my first nhs gp appointment where I was ‘prescribed’ tai chi and chia seeds for my subclinical hypothyroidism and told my symptoms couldn’t possibly be thyroid related.🤦‍♀️

Well said you are absolutely right- the charity has so much potential to expand in many areas but without funds can’t carry out the PR and admin to get attention in this very competitive charity world I urge everyone to join and the printed publications are very interesting and useful -I have found a good endo happy to prescribe T3- worth that alone

I've been a member for a few years now. Very happy to support and I find the magazine very useful.

I joined a few years ago. Not only out of gratitude for all the help I've been given here, but so I am included in the figures of those with thyroid conditions.

I read in the latest newsletter that they are planning a conference which would be excellent. Well worth supporting

I joined very quickly after first posting, couldn’t believe all of the solid advice, information and support that came in when I was so confused at my first results and why I had a thyroid in my neck causing trouble, still not sure why it’s where it is, perhaps all other spaces occupied. x

I’ve been a member for a few years now.

I recommend TUK to people I converse with outside this forum too. It’s so important that we have expert advocates on our side and the info on the website (and via the magazine) is invaluable. Just like the fab support on here ☺️

I will be very happy to be a member again once my own financial situation improves, could we please have a reminder in Springtime?

If I remember 😂. You know what it’s like - I’ll put a reminder on my phone (right now so I don’t forget) 🤗♥️
