How to raise Folate Levels

Hi

Does anyone have a recommendation on how to raise folate levels, ie how much should I supplement and should I use tablets or spray. I understand folic acid is what I need. My folate is at the bottom of the range 6.1 when the top is 4.6.

I am already taking iron and B12 (sublingual). I am having Vitamin D tested tomorrow together with a retest of my iron (serum and ferritin).

Have you made a typo?

I was prescribed 5mg daily folic acid for low folate. It's also available OTC. Supplementing B12 can deplete folate. It's good practice to supplement both together.

Thanks clutter. Yes should have said 4.6 is bottom of range. My b12 is now mid range so I will add 5mg of folic acid.
