I am due to a colonoscopy this week to investigate chronic diarrhoea , no blood. Thoughts are post infectious ibs currently
I see the recommendations to chill moviprep but cannot make it with cold water. How soon before taking it are you allowed to make up the solution? I want to give it a chance to chill as I only drink water chilled but can’t see how long before I can make it?

I made my moviprep up as instructed and then chilled it well in advance of needing to drink it. Mine was the lemon flavoured but still vile! I found it a bit more palatable by drinking through a straw.Good luck - just do it and get it over and done with!!
May I ask how the prep went for you? I am due to have the procedure done in a month and am already losing sleep over it. I was prescribed two laxatives, plus the prep and it seems a bit much to me. Hoping everything went well for you.

It is not pleasant but a necessary evil! Mine was the orange one. I thought it was ok at first but it is the volume which is hard.
Agree with others. Make it up earlier and chill it. Get some straws to miss as many tastebuds as possible!
I brought some up with vomiting on 2nd litre and was worried that I wouldn’t have enough in me. It was coming through clear though and everything was fine.
The colonoscopy itself was a breeze. I was sedated and don’t remember a thing!
Good luck. It’s not great, but it is doable even if it’s not enjoyable!
