What were your symptoms? Rang 111 and had 3 different drs ring back sure they were just reading from a screen. Told not to take second lot

Started vomiting but not much came up toilet trips about 10. Shaking and very dizzy and nauseous like I've never experienced

Rang this morning and even though it's brown water because occasionally little lumps they won't do it dosnt offer me go in for any other "help" so all been for nothing

Should I ring again as still not eaten though still bad bad stomach and last lot was taken at 7pm of the one litre I managed

She said only alternative is picolax which they have virtual stopped prescribing

I'm in such a state I can't go through it again I was so scared

in reply toPurplewoman

I had the same has you BUT rang 999 !

111 NO GOOD.

I was ok times before with picolax and I dont know why its not available anymore ! it works really well! as if we dont suffer enough !

I would now ring GP if I were you-maybee you can still go and have test.

If its brown water thats ok and they can give you an annenamie.

IF i was you Id just turn up and see what they can do.receptionists are crap.

Do let me know how you go on and I know its scarey-can somone be with you.I live on my own.

Bless you S x

I've just made toast lol feel I need to eat to feel better? It might go straight through?? It was a nurse I spoke to and she asked two other people senior to her as no consultant in when I rang first thing

So for what ever reason nothing else suggested today

in reply toPurplewoman

Please ring your GP tho to say what has happened.

Hope you have a better day today regardles

Much love To You x

I was the same as you got sick and nearly fainted, drink I pint of water then 3 hours later have the second litre of movicon drink it every 20 minutes until you finish it then drink another pint of water you will defently go to the toilet urgently. Its bloody horrible but you have got to do it. Good luck

I've had Picolax, it's pretty much the same effect as Movicol just different chemical content. Well that's what the nurse told me. It didn't do anything any more than the brown water. I dragged myself to the hospital and had an enema which was no problem at all after the Picolax!

I really wish you the best of luck.

Xxx

Are you ok? I'm sorry but I only just got my notification of this comment.

Moviprep can have strange effects but you should have phoned 111 and asked them to advise you.

I really hope you're ok now.

Hi just came across this post. Haven't opened my bowels for 28 days now. I've had all the laxatives you can name and scheduled in for colonoscopy on Sunday. Just got given the moviprep to take now to clear the obstruction then another lot for Sunday. Feeling very anxious

You should have been given an emergency number. Moviprep made me gag and I had to stop. I now understand that this was the right thing to do.

If you can't get hold of anyone try calling 111 for advice.

Good luck :)
