I am new to the group here. Over the past few years I had every test done from ultrasounds to colonoscopies and seeing many different gastros. They found literally nothing to I was diagnosed with IBS. Does anyone else have a constant upper right abdomen pain. Sometimes its worse and other times not as bad. I just wanted to see if anyone else had this.
Thanks,

Hi yes had for five years now had numerous scans tests all sorts .. gallbladder removed .. right side pain/ache .. some weeks it goes then comes back and stays for weeks and slowly goes but the ache always there. It moves from side to back to shoulder blade. My husband reckons it trapped gas that moves. But we don’t know .. I have a further appointment Thursday with new doctor see if they have any new thoughts. My last doc said it may be just one of them things that we just don’t know what it is and you have to live with it .. hopefully other people on here may have answers for you.
Yes I have since Dec 19 had similar issue, had all tests apart from colonoscopy & all docs just say mine is "acid related" , it's like a burning sensation under my right rib, but then also sometimes into my right shoulder blade.
I do suffer from lots of wind at times so hoping it's just pockets of wind.
But like most sufferers it's very annoying & just leaves you with the thoughts that they have missed something, but guess you've just got to trust the docs!
Thanks for reply. Sucks to see other people have the same problem but puts me at ease a little. I also have lots of wind. The doctor did say I have Gerd and IBS which seems to go hand in hand. It’s just so annoying guess got to just deal with it.
Yeah I've unfortunately also have not just IBS but GERD aswell, just going through 2 weeks of bad acid reflux at night, annoying thing with docs is the only solution is to double up on Omeprazole & see how it goes.
Yep it definitely sucks, I've had problems now since Dec 19 and seem to be in an endless circle of symptoms! Oh well!
Hey Guys,So sad to read all your comments about being in pain with no answers.
23 years ago I was in the same position, I have always said I can't explain the pain it is the weirdest feeling ever. Like your insides are red roar as though you've drank acid. I had the added problem of not being able to tolerate food. The symptoms would get so bad I would pass out. Eventually got admitted and had every test under the sun over a 2 week period I would cry every time the results came back clear. I was desperate for answers. Eventually they did a barium x-ray and found i had Crohns disease. Believe it or not I was relieved at last to know why I was so poorly. It's been a long journey but i wish you all lots of luck in getting your answers. Please please don't give up pushing for second opinions i think the scariest thing is feeling so ill and not knowing why, you feel like your going crazy. As if anyone would imagine being in that much pain.
