Hi can anyone recommend pain relief for stomach ache. I have tried Buscopan which does nothing and today even paracetamol has not worked. I’m not due to see gastro until May but will ask for my GP for something in the meantime. I am constantly in bed with a hot water bottle.

Your GP has access to an array of analgesics, and should be able to offer you something that works. Sometimes, it may be better not to fix yourself of all the pain, but to significantly reduce it, until a diagnosis of the cause is found. Good luck.

Have you tried Rennie Deflatine in case the pain has been caused by excess gas? Might be worth a try. I second FRreedman in that the GP should help if that doesn't work.

Thank you very much for your replies. I have tried windeaze tablets. I think it is SIBO that has come back, which is just so hard to get rid of. The stomach ache is the worst symptom for me.

I feel your pain - literally. I've barely been able to move today for the pain. Painkillers don't work for me (my gp once prescribed Tramadol and even that didn't touch it). It's a hot water bottle for me too, and hot water with sliced root ginger in it to drink. Hope you feel better really soon!

Same here sitting with a hot water bottle . I’m trying camomile teas buscopan doesn’t work . Peppermint tea is suppose to help but it’s acquired tastes as I struggle drinking it . Also I’m trying ginger tea but don’t no if any really help me . As only started them . I’m waiting to see the doctor as well as find nothing seems to help it . But hot water bottle seems best . Hope you get some relief and advice from doctor .😊

Agree with Freedman your GP has a duty of care to provide best pain relief. Colofac(Mebeverine 135mg tabs) were no help to me so GP then prescribed Mebeverine 200 mg time release caps. At the mo they seem to help me. Good luck
