Just come out of hospital after a really painful weekend. I've had blood tests and a CT scan and I have been diagnosed with diverticulitis. ive had introvenous antibiotics and fluids and now have three different antibiotics to take at home for a week. I'm waiting for a referral to a dietitian, I was having a great success with the low fodmap diet now I don't know what to do? Any ideas please

A low FODMAP DIET IS GOOD FOR DIVERTICULITIS. Good news for you, Keep at it with the following guidelines below.
THE MAIN THINGS TO AVOID ARE FOODS NOW ARE FOODS THAT CAN STICK IN THE POUCHES IN THE GUT THAT ARE FORMED WHEN YOU HAVE THAT CONDITION.
Avoid nuts and sweetcorn. See also the link below for info,
The other thing is to eat is more fibre containing foods in your low fodmap diet as much as you can tolerate - fruits and veg and wholegrains and lots of water. Copy and paste the link below : Actually I think you can click on it.
