I was suffering diarrheoa and was put on Low Fibre Diet and am happy to say diarrheoa has stopped. I underwent a Colonoscopy to rule out possible cancer. That was ok - slight inflammation thought to be from Kleen-prep. Have since seen gastroenterologist and waiting further appointment. He suggested seeing dietitian (already had so that is continuing. Am at present on Fodmap diet to try and discover what it is that is causing my symptoms but now have constipation. Have also gone onto Almond Milk. As part of this diet it was suggested trying Linseeds which I have done but now question if this is making matters worse in terms of pain. I also have Diverticulitis. Are the seeds actually aggravating the situation? Only been on FODMAP for a week so it is early days. Has anyone else had difficulty with Linseeds?

Hi I am no good with fibre either, even potato seems to set me off! It is really strange, I still can't pinpoint anything after 30 years! What low fibre diet did you follow?

It was something the Dietitian gave me from Royal Surrey Hospital NHS. It did work and stopped diarrheoa. I am hoping Low Fodmap will also work. Main problem at moment is constipation. I sympathise with you and not being able to eat potatoes would have been really hard for me as I love them.
