creon is made from pig pancreas, it is to help your pancreas which supports digestion by making enzymes to digest fatty, and hard foods to digest. If you are having feces with undigested food in it, then yes take it. Your doctor should direct you in this. Liquid Imodium is best for diarea. Take a tablespoon with your morning meal, or your main meal each day til diarea passes, don't take too much as it can have the opposite effect in constipation. You really should have your doctor direct you for your needs as I am not a doctor but have had similar issue before, and it worked for me. Good luck, hope you feel better!!

I found this article as a secondary guide to help digestion. It may help you look to other ways of supporting your digestion issues. Of course it is all trial and error with us all, as we all are different. Can Digestive Enzyme Supplements Help Your Digestive Distress?

Types and Effectiveness of Over-the-Counter Supplements

I found it more helpful to self research, then to ask my doctor about what I found. I have I.B.S from a bacterial infection i had a few years back. It threw off my whole digestive system, both from the bad bacteria, and the anti-biotics I had to take. The doctor had me on creon for when I ate meats or fatty foods, I stayed away from whole nuts. They never said, but I believe my pancreas was effected as well, as I had digesting issuses for a while. I would say take a daily pro-biotic along with drinking keffer, a liquid type yogurt. It is high in good natural bacteria to replenish your gut. I drink it as a secondary pro-biotic as the pill form is just a powdered dormant type pro-biotic that doesn't always work. Also did they say anything to you about scar tissue in the colon? This too can cause issues. My ex-wife had scar tissue in colon from partial removal from an accident. Anyways, I hope this further helps you, keep me informed as how your doing, I am interested in how your doing, and would like to help if I can. Good luck and good health to you! "DG"
