Did anyone really notice the weight gain with taking creon how quickly did you notice and did you have any side effects , how often did you take it in what quantities ? thanks good luck everyone . mark

Creon has increased the number of times they pee during the night ? Currently I need to pee every,2 hours. This is only happened since I have been on Creon &.Tramadol in 2022

Does anyone have any experience positive or negative of taking Creon, and has anyone been prescribed a substitute due to non-availability?

Anyone else still trying to navigate the costs and efficacy of Creon and Zenpep? They both cost a fortune-and I have decent (or so I thought) healthcare coverage! And which is better? (And yeah, I know it’s always personal preference-but I’d still like a consensus).

Pancrex is 8 x weaker than Creon 25000. I was taking 3 Creon with a main meal so that means I now have to try and gulp down 24 capsules with dinner. Not fun !

I started Creon 3600 last December and still have much of the same symptoms as before. It's very discouraging as it can be quite restrictive. I can't plan anything for early in the day, I feel hungry nearly all the time and never sure about what or what quantity to eat and I'm often very tired.

On Creon and waiting to see how I fair. How quick should it return my weight and alter my bowels. also if I have left the pills in a car that heated up, yes already after a week, does that mean they are ineffective

Just wondered if anyone knows if being on Creon (PERT) means you're at the worst end of CP? I'm scared I really have PC but just haven't been able to get into the GI Dr. It's my Medicaid holding me up but I'm tired of waiting so long. Just don't understand if being on Creon is "normal" for CP or ?

I am also told that the Nutrizym will not be available until October and the Creon not until 2026. I am further advised that the shortage is not simply a production problem but is compounded by NHS pricing that means that supplies are being sent to the EU.

This is on behalf of my Daughter Katey, she was diagnosed with EPI 4 years ago, her doctors know nothing about EPI, so she has struggled on her own, she takes creon, we researched that she should be taken replacement vitamins , Dr says she dosent need them, over time her health has deteriorated she

So I'm currently on Creon to help with digesting food as I still have diarreah episodes. Now I'm having monthly infusions of Avig...as my immune system is pretty poorly. Anyone else having issues similar. TIA. Julie

I’ve had some other tests and they’ve resulted in me being treated with a medication Creon (Zenpep). This is used to help break down food when the pancreas is not working properly. We shall see the results from this treatment in about a week.

Incidentally, since taking Creon, I do seem to have slightly more energy but no improvement to digestion/bowels. Thanks for any support or advice

I've been on Creon for as long as I can remember which has been working well. Just recently the creon aren't working so well without taking Loperamide, the pains I get in my upper abdomen can be excruciating, I get bloated also.

Firstly we went on holiday to Cyprus and for the first 3 days I was quite unwell with diarrhoea, I increased the intake of Loperamide and Creon, still no luck. We eventually put it down to the virgin pina colada’s I had, so stopped having them, things were slightly better .

He has prescribed Creon for me to replace the enzymes that my pancreas isn’t producing every time I eat a meal or snack.

I'm wondering is there any treatment or what happens if one is allergic to Creon?

I do have Creon and that has helped. I seem to be maintaining the weight. There’s so much more I could say but I know this is already a long post. I don’t even know what kind of support I need or what questions to ask.

That in itself is a miracle I was taking creon, and somehow , my body has told me I don’t need it anymore and my doctor said to go ahead and stop taking it. So, I have unused bottles available. For anyone in need, please contact me.

IN the meantime I went online and found out about about Creon which is very good for people with pancreatic cancer, but has to be prescribed by a GP or a consultant.
