I know oranges are ok on the fodmap diet but does anyone find they give them wind? I usually have one during the evening and by bedtime I have trapped wind which is still there the next morning

oranges and wind

If it works for you that's great.
I had a very expensive intolerance test. It was like 200 items and it showed I'm allergic or intolerant to almost half of them on some level.
I did the elimination diet but no healing. I added back lots of foods later without worsening.
So if the test gives you positive results that doesn't necessarily mean you will have symptoms as well.
But again if it works for you then just stick with it.
🙈💩🙈💩
Mine was around £300 at a reputable private doctor. (I would happily pay ten times more for a test that would work for me.)
It came back with so many positive results that even the doctor said to only avoid the worst ones.
But there were time when they put me to a diet with only cooked rice, potato, turkey with a little salt for weeks. Nothing else. After few days I had nausea just to think to turkey.
I fight with my immune and digestive issues for more than 30 years. I can't tell you how many hospitals, doctors and naturopaths I saw.
So believe me I have a little bit of experience in this.
Please tell us exactly how your tests were carried out. Official NHS guidlines state that there is no evidence that any commercially available intolerance tests are reliable. I`m pleased you found something that you feel works for you but I struggle to see that a test costing less than £50 could be so sophisticated
Please tell us exactly how your tests were carried out
..... whats the point ?
You both clearly think you know better. Yet im the one symptom free. And stay that that way from regular testing.
who's us ?
Kentaro hasn't even explained to me how his not trustable test was done etc lol.

....and the point is ?
Did nhs give you any evidence of your ibs ? Or me of mine ? Or my other 3 plus lables that i had ? that would be a big no.
Also just remember the nhs choices page for intolerances hasnt alway been the same, when i had ibs symptoms the page stated, do not undertake emlimination diets as you risk nutritional deficiencies, please see a dietition for a food intolerance test and allergy test.
I asked my gp for intolerance test and he said they have never done them🙈 yet they had stated clearly to get an intolerance test 😂
I said some ex nhs nurses/ gps ? Do intolerance tests ?
I also said if i wanted an allergy test i would of got 1 on nhs. rather than paying £300 etc
I wanted a intolerance test.
I dont live by nhs guidelines, if i did i would be dead lol. Food intolerances or A.b.s is not something they are even capable of testing for let alone treat ?
What would anyone expect someone in my positon at that time to do ?
I keep telling people even a qualfied NHS dietitan etc couldn't work out/guess my intolerances ?
I`m pleased you found something that you feel works for you
... thank you😊 Lifes amazing when you feel so great🤗.
but I struggle to see that a test costing less than £50 could be so sophisticated
.... What shame you wasn't at both clinics with me that day then.
Iv been answering your questions for like 2 years🙈
I won't bother anymore🐸 my answers clearly don't help you
