We are all different as to where wind gets trapped. I get it mostly top of ascending colon, bad pain until wind is released. But yes a friend gets its low down similar to you.
Yes - I get it right below my tummy - as if there is a big blockage there. Wind does not get out until an ave of 5 hours - and it is painful. Best avoid food that cause the wind - no other choice from experience.
Yeah it is common and painful try simethicone ovol
Lower left side every time.It wakes me up most nights and I need a trip to bathroom to release it.Then fine for another day.
Loose stools with mucky water, any ideas ??
Not sure if its where the food goes through colon to fast, does that sound poss
For a long time I have been awoken in the early hours of the morning with (low down) stomach pain. I was fearful of it being something 'sinister' but slowly established that it is almost certainly caused by wind. I have found that simply avoiding fruit (and other high fibre food) from late afternoon onwards, has eased the discomfort significantly.
Incidentally, most of my family are vegan . . and cook very appetising meals, but whenever I eat with them I suffer acute bloating. I have come more and more to the conclusion that what the gut likes best is what it's used to ! I'm 80 and know that I have diverticula.
Raw fruits and veggies do this to me for sure! You’re not alone honestly though I don’t take anything for it..been on Viberzi for Ibs-d for about a year and it controls the D, but not the painful gas. I hope you find some relief!
Most mornings tbf unless I'm constipated. Noticing that not eating breakfast helps but also that creates numerous problems of itself. I try and 'go' and as soon as I'm done in the bathroom I'm fine all day. Oatmeal also limited it for me
This is my main problem with IBS-C slow transit. I have found a little relief with Senocalm which is simethicone and peppermint oil. I find the pain it causes very difficult to manage. I have seen a private Gastroenterologist and he cannot offer me any more than the NHS can. However, I am booked in for a Lidocaine Infusion in May. I don't know anyone else suffering with severe IBS. There was supposed to be a support group set up locally but it has not materialised. I think this would be useful for support. Good luck with finding some relief from your gas pain.
