General advice

Hi all, I was diagnosed with IBS years ago, but things settled and my bowels become normal ish. The last few months the IBS has flared up, not sure if something I've eaten has triggered it but it's back with vengeance.

The worst thing for me is the wind after eating or drinking. I can cope with the pain but the wind is getting me down. Any advice?

Hi Clairelk. I suffer from wind too, mainly in the evenings after dinner. I find that avoiding or limiting certain foods helps. For me for example, dairy, red meat and too much onion can give me terrible wind. Have you looked at the FODMAP diet? It might help you identify some of your own triggers? Mine definitely is a lot milder or non existence when I cut mine out. Good luck!
