I’ve recently been told by my doctor that she thinks I have IBS. The reason I went in the first place was that I’ve been having accidents where I’ve not felt a thing. Right now I have a constant need to poo but when I go to the bathroom it’s mainly just wind and a lot of. I don’t have stomach cramps but it does make a lot of weird gurgling sounds. Anybody else suffering any of these symptoms and can give me any advice on what to take. Thanks

Advice please
Well, I don't know. for me I usually have diarrhoea, accompanied with gas, painful gut cramps, and urgency (which has unfortunately led to some rather nasty embarrassing uncontrollable and violent diarrhoea attacks that has caused some public accidents. Maybe gas-X might help! or some other anti-gas remedy, I know at least in UK and the States there is Kaopectate that has a product not only for the Hershey squirts but gas build-up as well. it MIGHT work, would not hurt in giving it a try. (I think it has simethicone to assist with the gas issue). Hope this helps!
Hi bluemon - there seem to be different sorts of IBS - some are like alternating patterns of constipation or having the runs. If there are no warnings and you have seconds to get to the loo then this may be helped by taking fibre gel which is a natural remedy in sachets to drink. This makes going to the loo easier, taking away the blocked matter and absorbing excess fluid in the bowel, so you have normal movements. I take orange or lemon flavours in the morning and at night if its bad. Also screen out something in your diet that might lead to your symptoms. enaturalhealing.com grandma's secret natural remedies for constipation might help. You can get this on prescription or buy it over the counter.
Thanks for the advice but I’ve tried the fibergel but believe it or not this seemed to make me worse so will need to give something else a go. Thanks again
I used to get the gurgling and the wind, I'd eat a banana and it helped. Twice per day a probiotic and drink more water. I also drank ginger tea which helped a lot. You can look into other teas online.
Also, you might be eating something that's causing it to flare up so do a food diary for a whole week, write down everything you eat and drink, pay attention to how you feel for a few hours after you eat and you might find the cause.
Hope this helps.
Will need to do that i think but what I’ve found is that it’s really bad when it’s that time of month lol
I'm afraid I can't help you with that lol
But try the food diary. 🙂
I will thanks
Thanks Maureen 1958 I’ve been finding all these things out recently and it’s not great is it ? Thanks again
