Magnesium citrate.

Hi, I've heard magnesium citrate is good for constipation, but I couldn't find the liquid one.

I bought the tablet form, 100mg in each tablet, and it doesn't say anything about helping with constipation.

Will it work if I take these?

yes I have always took the tablet form, you just need to find the correct dose that works for you,I take 400mg together each evening, the ones I take are 200mg each.I have been taking them for about 15 yrs and they def work.

15 years! I took for a couple years off and on and then started wondering if it was safe.

Hi I recently tried the tablet form of magnesium but it upset my stomach.I'm in another group for hemi facial spasm and was told my friends on their that if it upsets your stomach try Epson salt baths, just a good handful in the water.I know you might think that sounds stupid but believe me I feel loads better, because it is absorbed through your body.I have looked it up and confirms what I said.Give it a try. Also try bioglan probiotics.I noticed a big difference after taking it for a month.Hope that helps 😊

I take 350 mg. Magnesium Citeate and it helps with constipation. Also something called natural calm magnesium citrate lemon raspberry powder is excellent. You mix with water and it fuzzes. It works for me and I have stubborn constipation. I take pure encapsulation magnesium citrate 3 capsules a day 350 mg. I got both on Amazon. I take the natural calm when I haven't gone in a couple of days. It works in a few hours for me. Hope this helps.

Magnesium works for many people who have a certain type of constipation. If what you have is not actually constipation but instead very slow motility, and your intestinal track has an inability to contract on its own, magnesium will not help you.

I can take an entire bottle Mag Citrate (which they have given me in the emergency room!), and all it does is make me extremely nauseous and sometimes a bit gassy. The same is true for natural calm or milk of magnesia or any form of magnesium at all.

I wish you well with it, but if it doesn't work, itmay have something to do with slow motility.

Hi I have methane SIBO which is causing me to be constipated

Have you found the cause of your slow motility? This is my theory: sickofibs.com/ibs-symptoms/...

What do you think?

I was put on magnesium hydroxide along with laxido and linzess for my slow transit constipation. I ended up having 1/3 of my large bowel removed 2 years ago and now only take laxido. I do take magnesium citrate for energy as I also have an under active thyroid.

I have bought those also and yes they did help, but I think I was taking too many. Does any one know if it dangerous to take these tablets in large amount. I cannot handle the liquid taste.
