I had more success with lepicol plus and continue to take it . I am completely well and found this product helped to settle my system. You will find many testimonials about this product on the lepicol website. It can be purchased from Holland and Barratt.

Good luck.

Hi there I think when you clear constipation it puts your bowel into spasms, probably what u have now. Perhaps u need more water daily and fruit and veges. wishing you well

Hi I agree with the former post I suffered constipation but I found any laxatives upset me .So now I eat more fruit and drink plenty of water with a slice of lemon in,does the job just fine.I do think the key is plenty of water.Good Luck

I take magnesium for constipation about 500 to 700mg citrate every other day and this is the only natural thing that helps me. It is not a laxative but draws water in the bowel. After suffering for many years and taking harsh laxatives this is the best option. Thigs like lepidolite don't do anything for me and make me more bloated. Even my gastro doctor suggested I take it long term. Look on the internet there is lots of info re constipation and magnesium. I don't know what you mean by after effects.
