Cramp and hard muscles
I'm taking
Zinc
, K2, D3, Borage oil (and other fish oils etc) and Magnesium l-Threornate and B3 (plus intermittently a B-complex to supply other B vits) so I don't think those deficiencies are the cause. Any ideas I'd be ever so grateful! X

Recently diagnosed
In addition to Ursofalk she has put me on 30 mg of
zinc
citrate every day. She told me that a problem with Urso is, that it allows copper to accumulate in our body over time, and this is toxic.

Not sure about taking iodine
So I'm taking capsules which contain 400mcg iodine, 200mcg selenium, 20mg
zinc
. I also take liquid iodine, she told me to increase 5 drops a week till a maximum of 40 drops. 1 drop contains 75mcg iodine. I'm now taking the capsules and 10 drops so this is a total of 1170mcg.

B12 and Magnesium
your question about how we manage these issues locally, I personally recommend (by letter) to all upper GI patients’ GPs that a broad set of micronutrients are checked annually (i.e. full blood count with haematinic markers (ferritin, B12 and folate), liver function tests, parathyroid hormone level,

Positive news - one less symptom!!
I haven't worked out why, could it be due to my much reduced dose of T3 or could it be due to recently supplementing with
Zinc
? Will I ever know? It's truly wonderful to have cracked this as I couldn't imagine giving up a hobby that I've enjoyed for over 15 years.
