Pelvic /SI joint pain Radiation update

Hello everyone My centre just got MyChart so for the first time I looked at results of CT. For 3 years Onc has been saying "everything stable" and it is. I was always offered a copy of CT by clinic nurse but declined being happy to just hear "stable". Liver mets no longer showing on CT at all -

Tooth extraction after receiving Zometa?
Has anyone had a tooth extraction after receiving a Zometa infusion? My tooth extraction is scheduled for 9/18 but it’s not related to my metastatic breast cancer or any drugs I have received. It’s due to internal resorption and is being removed 8 weeks after my first Zometa infusion. My oncologist thinks

Zometa question
Is zometa given forever? I worry about ONJ . I have been on Zometa over 3 years which puts my risk at 3%. Of course I do all the things like meticulous oral hygeine etc., but it is still a concern. Has anyone had the zometa stopped after a number of years

Ibrance and supplements
I belong to those who are very careful in taking food supplements. My oncologist recommended not to take calcium and vitamin D because I have a high level of calcium in my blood. I mainly use vitamin C, and I try to compensate everything else from food. I am 69 years old and use Ibrance 100 + fulvestrant

Piqray fail-only Fulvestrant now?
Hello all. As a follow up to my original post, I finally got an answer today from my oncologist that because of my Piqray fail due to the extreme hyperglycemia and multiple adverse AEs, they are going to administer Fulvestrant only along with quarterly Zometa injections. I feel like this may be going

Radium-223 + Xtandi?
I’ve been on chemo (cabazitaxel + carboplatin) since Jan 2022 and also on Zometa and Lupron. PSA went from 1.3 in Jan 2023 to 11.7 this month. CT and Bone scans show bone mets somewhat stable but with activity, all bone no soft tissue. PET PSMA earlier this year did not show enough tracer activity

zometa break after 6 years?
hello — anyone told its okay to take a break from quarterly zometa infusions (or any biophosphonates) after long time (over 5 years); my oncologist was certain that 5 years was enough — saying I have a lot in me from those years — but I have read from others that they are on it way past that some 8-

Chemo with Docetaxel - side effects
I started triple therapy over a month ago with Eligard and Nubeqa, Zometa for bones, and Docetaxel chemo (with daily prednisone). Gleason 10, RP with 12 lymph nodes all negative, but then quickly went metastatic to multiple bones - too many for radiation to be effective. PSA peaked 3 months after

zometa infusion, i think that's what my Mum's G.P mentioned-
anyone used it? i think it's an anti resorptive, in place of reclast, and 6-monthly instead of annual g.p then went on to say bisphosphonates (long term?) are harmful, or won't suit my Mum's case?, but i can't be trusted for this transcript still need answers on what the plan is after forteo.

Pee problems
Lately my hypochondria has been in over-drive. I have incontinence. That is, when I feel like I'm done , and zip -up, I shortly see fluid has soaked into my denims. I use Myrbetriq, a drug to lessen bladder spasms. It works, that is, when I'm done I don't feel the urge to continue peeing

Zometa with or without Radium 223?
Hi I have done 1 year with Zometa alongside Docetaxel and more recently Radium 223. I'm halfway through the Radium 223 course but have been advised that after a year, Zometa has reached maximum effectiveness and should be stopped. After a rocky start I'm feeling much better and much less frail.

People with high blood levels of niacin, (vitamin B3), may be more likely to have a heart attack or stroke than those with lower levels

Well, because research has indicated for years that dietary supplements are a waste of money for most people. https://www.newscientist.com/article/2325423-vitamins-and-dietary-supplements-are-a-waste-of-money-for-most-people

Soreness
Hello I have been on Letrozole for a year next month and I had a zometa infusion and radiation. But my question is its it normal for my under arm and scar tissue and my Breast to get sore. Also where the lymphnodes were removed. And does doing house work adjatate that area. I'm so confused

Need some advice on what tools are still in the toolbox
Hi everybody, it’s been a while since I posted but I’m looking for some advice. I was diagnosed in the fall of 2019 with metastatic prostate cancer with 6 bone lesions (a few have shrunk and a few new one have appeared). FYI, I had my prostate removed in July 2019 Gleason 9, PSA 12. I’ve run the gambit

Zometa Tips???
After 12 years of surgery, EBRT, ADT1 and ADT2, chemo, SBRT, and completing 6 doses of Pluvicto my PSA is down to 0.10. Other than dealing with persistent anemia, I'm feeling pretty good!I just learned, however, that my MO wants to start me on Zometa. I won't know the dosage, timing, etc., until the
