Flu jab what a delight.
So I finally managed to get my flu jab yesterday, only appointment was with a new Dr who first asked why I needed it and then when I coughed said I shouldn’t have it. I explained that that is what I do, cough, and I do it well. She finally gave it to me and today I have an unusual cough. Almost a mix

Flu vaccine and disease progression
Yesterday I had my first flu vaccine in nearly a decade. Woot! Much better than keeping getting flu, and now I'm finally allowed again by the rheumatologists, who banned me from it, after it coincided with a disease flare one year (just pure coincidence I suspect). My husband always gets done as my carer

Starting NDT after failed T4, T4+T3, and T3 only experiments
After being messed around by a TSH blood test wielding junior endocrinologist for 12 months I found a very experienced, up-to-date and respected endo who agreed to treat me based on my symptoms (hooray!!) as long as I committed to adhering to a series of T4 / T3 experiments. Which I did, over a period

Still here....
My husband ,73, was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2015 and had tumour removed followed by one course of BCG. He reacted badly to BCG and hasn't had any more but has quarterly cystoscopy. Fortunately, he is well and has had no more tumours. He keeps disposable catheters for occasional use but is aware

Flu jab
Good afternoon - I was wondering what the general consensus is about this - never had it before - but am I more at risk after chemo this year ?

Relapse, and now I'm sure I'm a member of your elite club
Since I last posted, I've been undergoing more tests because even my new rheumatologist suspected I have something other than GCA/PMR. Tapered Prednisolone from 40mg to 35mg with no problem, both ESR and CRP returned to normal pretty quickly and the doctors didn't seem concerned that most of the symptoms

Flu Shot
I think some of have gotten your shot. I’m about to. I did look on CDC regarding mercury. Only in multi dose vials, to minimize contamination. So I’m good. No worries 😊

Urgent Low T3 at 2. but heartbeat 120 bpm in hospital
This is really urgent please. My 93 year old Mum had a flu jab about 5 days ago. All ok before then. She got a UTI 2 days ago and then had a fall. Waited 4 hours on the floor for an ambulance. Leg bandaged and put into bed. She had another fall and was admitted to hospital yesterday. Today I have

Elevated Lymphocyte Count 4 Months After Bendamustine/Rituxin
Hello Members: In mid-June I finished 6 months of Bendamustine/Rituxin. I saw my onc today and my lymph nodes are elevated (5.7) saw her last month and they were also elevated(5.0) She is suggesting that I may want to have FCR or Imbruvica when I need treatment again. Right now I am on hold until January

19 weeks today but don't feel pregnant.
I have had a horrible cold for a week now after taking the flu jab and at 19 weeks i expected to feel more baby movement but there is nothing. I know it's probably crazy for me to be worrying after we heard a strong heart beat at the 16 weeks scan. Has anyone had the same problem after a cold

Flu jab
I had a flu jab on Saturday, slept well and on Sunday didn’t have the slightest twitch so reduced my Ropinerole from 1.25 to 1mg last night and slept well again. The interesting thing is that last year I had a flu-like illness and dreading the rls( not being able to be active ) but had no rls. When I

Flare and the unbelievable pain
I got diagnosed over a year ago with UCTD even though I fit everything for LUPUS except the positive ANA's and have been on Plaquenil ever since. Life has been well. Only a flare or two since until now. About 3 weeks ago I started having shooting pains in various parts of my body, especially my right

Scottish Weather
We all have ideas of the great Scottish climate, but with autumn looking as cold and wet as late Summer I am having trouble shifting my cold. I've got the flu jab booked this week but is there any point in taking it? Also, how long should you leave it before panicing that you can't get rid of the cold

Hello. I hope you don't mind me posting . I don't know who else to ask and you all seem so friendly and caring. I am a reasonably healthy 73 year old woman and apart from osteoarthritis of spine and hips managed to walk 3 or 4 miles a week and manage a large garden. About

Greetings !
I have been having B12 injections since loading ones back in Marchthis year and my last one was on the 2nd October..i had the yearly flu jab at the same time. Since then, I have had a slight cough, runny nose and catarrh etc. Not severe enough to go to docs or have time off work, but annoying enough
